www.fundacioncinde.org CINDE is a non-profit organization that works in education from the first stages of childhood in San Salvador (El Salvador) in two districts of the poorer urban zone of the city: Soyapango and Mejicanos. These zones share similar characteristics: overpopulation, unemployment, informal trade concentrations on streets and the absence of childcare programs. These districts have a strong gang presence and high levels of violence. The work of CINDE is aimed at sectors of the Salvadoran population that live in poverty and exclusion, a population that cannot afford a basic hamper and therefore cannot meet many of its needs. It is a population living in a stressful environment in which violence and domestic abuse are commonplace.

De obicei, nu cred in statistici si nici in lucrurile scrise pe internet, asa ca m-am decis sa vad, cu ochii mei, cum stau lucrurile :) Enjoy! :) Multumesc https://www.veltravel.ro Instagram : https://www.instagram.com/catalin_backpackyourlife/ Facebook Page : https://www.facebook.com/BackPackYourLife/ Camera : Panasonic G80
This was my first time to an under developed country. The first couple days were rough, but when I let go and immersed myself in the culture I learned to appreciate life in it's simplest form. I hope you enjoy my video, please like and share if you would like to see more of this in the world!
'Life at any price' is a documentary about the impact of the law in El Salvador that bans abortion in all circumstances, including rape, foetal abnormality, and even when a mother's life is at risk. This is a documentary produced by Al Jazeera with the support of the Central America Women's Network (CAWN) and the Salvadoran Citizen's Group for the Decriminalization of Abortion.
El Salvador is set to eclipse Honduras as the country with the highest homicide rate in the world. There have already been over 5,700 murders this year in a country with a population of just over six million. El Salvador’s murder rate is now the highest it’s been since the end of the country’s brutal civil war — there is on average around one murder an hour. The staggering death toll follows the breakdown of a truce between powerful, rival gangs and the government. Police and military are now combatting the gangs head-on and, as part of its so-called "iron fist" strategy, gang members are being charged with a new crime — membership of a terrorist organization. VICE News correspondent Danny Gold headed to El Salvador to investigate what many are now calling a war between the street...
San Salvador, the capital city of El Salvador, has one of the highest murder rates in Latin America. As the killings increase, teenagers are running medical response teams to escape gang violence, and to help their community. They are the Salvation Commandos. Shot by David von Blohn for AJ+. Killing to Belong, 2003 - El Salvador has been victim to the USA government deporting thousands of gang members into their country, resulting in unprecedented gang violence. For downloads and more information visit: http://www.journeyman.tv/9571/short-films/killing-to-belong.html American gangs have turned El Salvador into a battlefield, destroying lives and communities in their search for belonging. A group of pretty girls in their early teens giggle together, recalling a fond memory. They're describing how they butchered a member of a rival gang. "They stabbed him, got a brick and crushed his head and then threw the body in a ditch," translates our interpreter. There are now approximately 50,000 gang members in El Salvador. The gangs originated in the Salvadorian quarter in Los Angele...
